Fourth Element began in 1999 with a conversation over a post dive beer in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt. We set out to design high quality clothing with a simple yet diving oriented style. With backgrounds in design and human physiology, we spent a year and a half researching designs and fabrics for a range of casual and technical diving clothing.

The Fourth Element Technical range is designed around the principles of performance, innovation and function. Using the latest fabric technology in unique combinations and designs, the Fourth Element Technical range revolutionises thermal protection for both Wetsuit and Drysuit diving.

Fourth Element strives to reflect their passion for diving in everything they do. The products are designed as the result of inspiration on a dive or an expedition, months of prototyping and refining, and a never-ending search for innovative solutions to the challenges faced by recreational and technical divers in the pursuit of their sport.

Halcyon began as a group of divers who knew exactly what they wanted but couldn't find it in any dive store. The passion for the dive led them to business. Halcyon started designing wings and lights to satisfy themselves. However, they soon discovered that they were not alone in their pursuit of equipment that could radically improved the diving comfort of the newest recreational diver while also supporting the most aggressive technical dives ever completed. The founders, as well as current owners and senior management, have a long history as diving pioneers with diverse backgrounds, ranging from academia to manufacturing and consulting. However, they share one common thread: an average of 20 years of dives in each of their logbooks.

Halcyon make the gear that they know will make our diving better. The process begins with designing, testing, and refining; making it better in the process, never settling for "good enough." It is knowing as opposed to guessing. It's about having such high standards and expectations in how Halcyon want their products to perform that they are relentless in their pursuit of perfection.
